The Museum of the Future is a project that was initiated by the royal, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, last year. The objective of this futuristic-looking building is to serve as a exhibition space for the world’s most innovative creations and have it serve as an interactive space for innovative thinking. The museum is currently being constructed close to the Jumeirah Emirates Towers and is estimated at $200 million.
Construction of the Marina was completed at the end of 2016. It’s currently the second-tallest building in the UAE and the tallest residential building in the world. The name derives from the number of floors that comprises the building, where the first 33 floors is made up of the five-star Hard Rock Hotel. The rest of the building is made up of residential apartments.
The Dubai Frame was scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015. However, the construction progressed slower than anticipated. This will be the biggest Ferris wheel in the world, as it holds 210 passengers at a remarkable height of 210 metres. Once you’re seated in one of the pods, you’ll get to enjoy the magnificent views that Dubai has to offer. A full rotation of the Ferris wheel will take about 48 minutes.
Though the Dubai Safari was scheduled to be launched in 2016, there has been a number of delays, but there’s no doubt that you’ll get to experience it during this year. Dubai Safari has been pretty upfront about why its opening has been delayed. This new park will be replacing the Dubai Zoo and will cover 119 hectares of land. The look and feel of the park has been compared to South Africa’s Kruger National Park. That means it’s less of a zoo and more of a wildlife conservation area.
